Privacy: your CV stays in your browser.
This site is operated by CVPebble. Last updated: 10 October 2026. This page explains in plain language what happens to your data.
What the CV builder does with your data
The details you type into the CV editor stay on your device. They are not sent to us or to any other server, and you do not need an account. The preview is built in your browser, and PDF files are created with your browser’s print dialog.
What is stored on your device
Two things can be saved in your browser’s local storage, and neither is sent to us.
Your draft: only if you turn on “Save my draft on this device”. It then includes your CV text and any photo you added. Anyone using the same browser profile may be able to see it. Turn the option off or use “Clear CV” to delete it.
Your language choice: when you pick a language from the language menu, the site remembers it and uses it to open that language when you return to the home page. Without a saved choice, the home page picks a language from your browser settings. Your location is not used.
We do not set cookies at the moment.
Files you download
A backup JSON file or a PDF contains the details you entered, including your photo if you added one. We do not keep a copy. Store these files carefully, especially on shared computers.
Hosting and server logs
The site is delivered by a hosting provider. Like most web servers, it processes technical request data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors.
Analytics
The site does not use analytics at the moment. If we add analytics, we will update this page first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before using any non-essential cookies or similar technologies.
Cookies
None are used at the moment, other than the local storage items described above. If this changes, a consent banner will let you accept or refuse non-essential cookies, and you will be able to change your choice later. This applies in particular to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
Advertising (only if and when enabled)
The site does not show ads at the moment. If we enable Google AdSense, Google and its partner vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads, and personalised ads will only be shown where you have given consent if the law requires it. Your CV details never reach advertisers because they never leave your browser, and ads will not be placed inside the CV editor.
You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and manage your ad settings at https://adssettings.google.com. We will update this page before ads go live.
Who is responsible and why we use data
CVPebble decides how the personal data described on this page is used. You can reach us at contact@cvpebble.com.
We handle only two kinds of personal data. First, messages you send us by email, which we use to read and answer you (your request, and our interest in replying). Second, the technical server logs described above, which are used to deliver and protect the site (our legitimate interest). We keep emails only as long as needed to answer and for a reasonable time afterwards. The host keeps logs under its own schedule. At the moment we do not sell personal data, do not share it for advertising, and make no automated decisions about you.
International transfers
Our hosting provider may process request data in countries other than yours. Where the law requires safeguards for such transfers, we will use appropriate ones.
Children
The site is not aimed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to receive a copy of it, to object to or limit its use, and to withdraw consent. These rights come from laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, Canadian federal and Quebec privacy laws, Brazil’s LGPD and data protection laws in Gulf countries and Egypt. Write to us at contact@cvpebble.com and we will reply within the legal time limit that applies to you. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Because the CV builder does not send us your CV, we hold very little data about you. If you write to us, we use your address and message only to reply, and we do not share them for marketing.
Changes
If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and its date.
